Food recalls: the products on the FSA’s alert list since September

Salmonella lies behind three alerts and Listeria behind two; four more are allergy warnings, one concerns cans that may rupture and one an oat drink.

The Food Standards Agency (FSA) has published 11 food alerts since 1 September 2026. The latest, on 10 October, covers eggs stamped 3UA1012066, which the FSA says should not be eaten.

The table lists the 16 named products and the one egg code those alerts cover, newest first. Product names, pack sizes, dates and codes are as the FSA gives them.

What the FSA tells people to do

Most of the alerts tell anyone who bought the product not to eat it and to take it back to the shop for a full refund. The allergy alerts address that advice to people with the allergy or intolerance named. Two differ: the egg alert says to dispose of the eggs at home, and the Lucky Saint alert says not to return the cans to a shop and to follow the point-of-sale notice instead.

Salmonella and Listeria symptoms

On Salmonella, the FSA says symptoms usually include fever, diarrhoea and abdominal cramps, and that anyone with symptoms should stay away from work, school or nursery until they have stopped having symptoms for at least 48 hours.

On Listeria, the FSA says symptoms can be similar to flu and include high temperature, muscle ache or pain, chills, feeling or being sick and diarrhoea, and that in rare cases the infection can be more severe. It names people over 65 years of age, pregnant women and their unborn babies, babies less than one month old and people with weakened immune systems as more vulnerable.

The Lambertz allergens

The Lambertz alert lists barley and wheat (gluten), egg, hazelnut (nuts), lactose and whey (milk), lecithin (soya), lupin, nuts, peanuts and sesame. The FSA says the products are a possible risk to anyone with an allergy or intolerance to those ingredients, or with coeliac disease, and that they were sold in Home Bargains stores.

Customer notices and product codes

The FSA publishes the full alerts, and several of them refer to attached notices for customers. The FSA’s entries identify products by pack size, date and, where it gives one, a batch code or product code.

Questions and answers

Do I need a receipt for a refund?

The Greencore alert says you do not need your receipt. The other alerts in the table do not mention receipts.

Which alerts say where in the UK they apply?

Only some give a country list: the egg alert names England, Northern Ireland and Wales, the Waitrose olive and rhubarb crumble alerts name England, Scotland and Wales, and the World of Sweets alert covers all four nations after its update. The rest give none, so the table does not assume one.

Where is the Pot Noodle batch code?

The FSA says the information can be found printed on the foil lid.
